Q:
How's the prices? Does the establishment accept insurance?
A:
Thank you for your inquiry about our office. We have not raised our cost of care for chiropractic adjustments in over 20 years so our cost for care is very reasonable and yes our office accepts most health insurances.

Highly recommend this office. The staff is phenomenal and work in harmony to ensure you have excellent and on-time treatment. My treatment is the trifecta - adjustments, physical therapy and massage. Consistency is key and I feel better and move better than I have in years. Roz is the PT and she's amazing at what she does. I get through most of my exercises independently however I've watched her with numerous clients who require more assistance and guidance; she really knows her stuff and addresses needs with kindness and empathy. Everyone on the staff is excellent.

Dr Trauben and Dr. Borenstein are highly skilled chiropractors. Both Drs are very attentive, caring, and considerate. They are very thorough, they took the time to assess and understand all of my aches and pains, and recommended a tailored program for my treatment. Yvette, the masseuse is hands down the best! She is gifted with healing hands. The staff are courteous and always willing to help; the office is a welcoming, friendly environment. I am already experiencing great results after just a few weeks of treatment. I highly recommend King St Chiropractic Wellness Center!

This is one of my happy places. I was super skeptical about chiropractic care in any form until one day I couldn't stand up. King Street Wellness was recommended to me. From the moment I arrived, Michelle and the entire team, took excellent care of me and addressed my problems. They did a thorough exam including x-rays and, because of the extent of my issues, required an MRI. Drs. B & T are absolute professionals and experts in their field.
I also appreciate the wholistic approach the practice takes for healthcare. Chiropractic care is only one piece of the picture and they teach and practice all parts - massage, exercise and nutrition.
I've been going to see Drs. B & T for 4 years now (every 1-2 weeks). I am healthier and have no pain. I feel great physically and it is my happy place because everyone there genuinely cares about their patients. It shows in the positive feel and conversation every time you arrive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The staff is very friendly and professional the provider is pretty aggressive in the way he promotes his long term treatment plans to the point of assuring you that if you change your mind you can your money back for services that are not used or appointments that you don't have an opportunity to go to. This was my case exactly and I just decided that I would rather cance and get me money back. Well my 1,400 -1,600 hundred dollars was returned at 208.00.
I know for a fact that I was only able to go to about 4 visits, so I fail see how "the plan" as it was presented would yield only a 208.00 dollar return.
Lesson learned, if you're going to use them do so judiciously knowing that any refund is going to favor the practice not the patient.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Danny there must be some problem with your credit card or some miscommunication. The office called you two times and left a message on your voicemail and texted you as well to let you know that your full refund not a partial refund was given back to you when you notified us. You have not contacted us back and we hope you are ok. We are sorry that you were not able to complete your care but hope you felt better with the care you received. You are correct that the office policy is if someone does not complete all of the care that you were going to complete you would get a FULL REFUND for the unused portion. You note that you did receive the credit back for $208.94 that is good. On the same day which was 10/29/21 you also received the other amount of $1,129.00 which was credited to your other credit card. Please check your statement because we are positive that your refund happened just as was agreed in your first visit. If after looking at your account you still do not see the money back in your account please notify the office immediately. Other than this "problem" it seems like the rest of your experience was positive and we are glad about that. Again we hope you are ok as you have not answered any of our attempts to contact you to let you know that the money is and has been in your account exactly when you notified us that you were not continuing with care.

I beat the hell out of my body for my entire life. Lifelong martial arts, military, combat vet, marathon runner, weight lifter, absolute sadist in the gym as in; my workout typically lasted until I pushed myself so hard I was throwing up...but we all get older.
The military teaches us that pain is weakness leaving the body. Martial arts coaches teach us to push through the pain. Runners learn to work through the ranks by ignoring the pain and catching the person in front of them. What they don't tell you is that one day, you won't be 21 anymore. One day you'll be 41 and on that day, years...decades of ignoring pain will have dyer consequences.
In the past three years, I've spent more time with doctors than I ever have in my entire life. Last year I had two surgeries. I have a night stand drawer filled with prescriptions...literally, an entire drawer. My feet are bad. My knees are trashed. My shoulders are wrecked. Then my back went out. Years of being incredibly active, and finally my back was to a point that I was living with constant pain. Almost every waking hour found me in pain. Simple things like walking my dogs became too much. Most doctors simply wrote prescriptions. One doctor said I should lose weight...yeah, thanks captain obvious. But how do you work to lose weight when some days you can't even walk?
I was giving up. In my 40's, I've worked so incredibly hard to have a career that allows me to have a nice home, nice things, even a second home in the mountains that offers an escape from the congestion of northern Virginia. But I've been unable to enjoy any of it for a few years now because almost everyday has been spent dealing with intense back pain.
My mentality suffered and I was in a dark place. Finally after years of useless doctors, a spinal specialist asked if I had ever seen a chiropractor. "Nope..." They're a waste of time and money." The spine doctor said "well listen, they help some people, so give them a shot. Go see my friends at King Street wellness. If they don't help you, don't go back. But it won't hurt to try." I assumed it was just another doctor shuffling me off to yet another place that wouldn't help me. By that point, I was so depressed, I didn't care. "Fine...I'll waste another day with another doctor."
Within about 20 minutes of my initial exam, the Doctor asked me "how long have you been like this" upon seeing that a guy in his forties was moving like a guy in his eighties. He did some x-rays and said he could help me. The cost was a little steep but mentally, I didn't care anymore. People when I tell you I was in a dark place, believe me when I say I cared about basically nothing at that point. My life was constant pain. I was tired. I didn't have a whole hell of a lot of will left to keep going.
I've been going twice a week for almost a month now. When I go, I'm greeted by a very friendly bunch of ladies at the front desk. If I didn't know better, I would swear I'm their favorite.
I get in there and start with simple neck and shoulder exercises. From there I get adjustments usually from Dr. B. He's super friendly and a consummate professional. From there I spend some time on a massage table that I wish I had in my home, then it's off to the the most amazing physical trainer I've ever met, Paulette. Occasionally I finish the visit with a massage from Elizabeth. Everyone there is amazing, everyone there legitimately cares about their patients. I've spent so much time with doctors in the past few years who frankly couldn't have cared less about me. Doctors who barely looked up at me and didn't listen at all when I begged them to just help me. It's amazing that some of the worst among us can be licensed to be doctors and nurses.
I hope you're still reading...because now I want to tell you how King Street Wellness has helped me. Today, my back still aches. But I'm well into my 40's and my four decades and change have been very active. Martial arts, combat, running, pushing myself to my absolute limits, chasing promotions, working the overtime, giving 100% every day, day in day out...
A month ago I could barely walk. Yesterday I walked four miles around my neighborhood. Twice this week I did hour long yoga sessions. Twice this week I hit the gym and lifted weights...something I haven't done in a long time (but I didn't throw up...lol,) I just finished a pretty intense core workout with Paulette about an hour ago and I'm relaxing now but soon I'll be back at the gym to do some circuit training.
I don't say this lightly...I really think in many ways, this treatment has saved my life. I was very close to giving up. We can only tolerate pain for so long.
I'm so happy I found this place. If you're reading this and you're body is broken, give this place a chance.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Matt that is one of the most heartbreaking and heartfelt stories I have read in my 28 years of being a Doctor. I am so glad your physician recommended you to our practice. We get a number of referrals from physicians in the area. We are so honored to help you!
- Stephanie N.Alexandria, VA018Jun 2, 2021
This is a really great practice. They offer a full spectrum of treatment options including adjustments, physical therapy, massage tables, orthotics insert fittings, massage etc. It's pretty much a chiropractic/holistic wellness one stop shop.
They performed a diagnostic x-ray at intake and gave me copies of the x-ray for my records. They work with you to create an effective but affordable care plan and adjust individual treatments to specifically treat however you're feeling that day.
The office is really lovely and conveniently located with ample parking and access to two major bud lines (28A Metro Bus and AT5 DASH). The staff is super friendly and professional and I'd absolutely recommend coming here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Both doctors and the staff here are wonderful. They taught me that I don't have to live with the pain and just get by. I come in for little tweaks monthly when I can feel the pain start to flare up and prevents worse pain down the road. I have much more energy to get things done. They are very good at explains what they are doing and why they are doing it. Also their COVID protocols are excellent.

The chiropractors are very good. Unfortunately, their long-time front desk associate is one of the rudest I have ever encountered. After being a loyal client for over 6 years, I forgot my mask on only ONE occasion...and she said I'd have to pay a dollar for a mask that is readily available free of charge in many other businesses. She also made fun of my last name, which is also the last name of my father, a decorated Vietnam veteran who was killed while on active duty. Employees are a reflection of management, so what a shame. I will never return to this practice.

Marie as one of the partners of the practice we want to sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had in the office. This type of behavior is inexcusable and not ok and not tolerated in our office. Many people comment on the positive experience that they have in our office and if your experience was not that we want to apologize to you. The person you are referring to is no longer with our office. Could you please call the office so I, Dr. Trauben, can directly apologize to you. I am sorry you were charged for a mask and I understand that it did not feel right especially for someone who is a long term patient with us. We have a busy doctors office and we found that we have had a number of instances where people have not come in with a mask and with all supplies increasing in cost and patients needing a mask we felt we had to to this. We are sorry about this.

Love working with Dr. Trauben and Dr. Borenstein. I've been seeing them for 3 months now, exactly during my last trimester of pregnancy. Their adjustments, attention, and posture tips have been incredibly helpful to avoid any back pain, sciatica, or muscle fatigue. I'm able to stay active and healthy. I've also been working out with Paulette Wright and she's helped me prepare for labor and delivery with pelvic, stability, and posture exercises. Excellent, professional team, outstanding customer service, and overall attentive, friendly staff! Highly recommend!
