      Solid 3.5 for me!

Aesthetics of the place were great with nice lighting. Service was nice, but some dishes took awhile to come out, but overall, nice server. I've tried the paella here: seafood version and the meat version. Only get the seafood paella here. The meat one was made with duck, but it was mainly bones and it was a pain to enjoy. Having to separate the meat off the bone took away from the experience. I also had the tapas sampler. It was good, but I felt the veggies could of been cooked more as the onion was too raw and powerful.

Not a bad place for a weekend out! Definitely get the seafood paella.

Came here for dinner with two others. We sat in the bar area at a high top table and took advantage of the tapas menu and happy hour prices. Prices were good but most things came two to an order and we were three.
Croquettes were amazing. Potatoes good. Grilled shrimp amazing. Sliders forgettable. They forgot one of the dishes. Overall it was a good meal and a great value.

      Hmm..where do I start...
Ok, first of all, it was such a......

      RIPOFF!!!!!!!!

I mean..food was good but it shouldn't be that pricey. It was just a seafood fried rice and they charged me for $45? Come on....It wasn't A-MA-ZING. I would have been super happy if it was about $25 for the same plate. And the service!????? VERY SLOW..It took us more than 3 calls to get a cup of water refill. I mean they look nice but didn't feel like it was worth the price either food-wise nor service-wise! Our server seemed needed more training if you guys gonna be charging us THAT MUCH. We aren't coming back.

I went here with a group because the event was close to where I stay. It's a nice set up and I was interested to try a few things because of the tapas place I would frequent on weekends in Atlanta.

I order papas bravas and bacon wrapped pork and a sangria. The papas bravas was fine and tasted well but the other dishes were average and to me not made that well. Sangria wasn't good as I'm used to. I didn't have a reason to try anything else.

La Tasca is a wonderful place to meet up with friends and have drinks and great small plates of food knows as tapas. The Spanish style food is always good and fresh. I like the skewers of beef, empanadas, and calamari the most. They even have paella which looks really good too especially if you're going to share it with a few people. The service is always friendly and the drinks are good especially the variety of red and white sangria. Definitely a good place that I would recommend. :)

As much as I love this place I wish I could give them more stars but it won't even be fair to other yelpers to experience the lack of attention and customer service I have experienced a few times. Why I keep coming back? Cause it's close to my office and Groupon throws some good lunch deals.
Seems that every time the wait becomes longer and longer. From waiting to be seated to waiting for food and drinks. It's extremely disappointing to look around and see the place is not that busy but yet, they lack personnel. The 3 stars is for the food. I enjoy the wrapped dates, sangria and empanadas but have a hard time when the menu is changed so much around. I hope they take into consideration client concerns as I hope to one day have a better experience than what I have had so far.

This was our second happy hour stop and it was wonderful. I had the Cadillac Tinto Sangria which has brandy - very good. Hubby tried both the peach and the traditional Tinto- both also very good. For munchies we had the pinxtos and the fried manchego. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere.

My family and I went out to Tosca for a Saturday night dinner, and overall, I was disappointed with the food and how long it took to serve the food, even though the restaurant was empty.

I've walked by this place many times, but I'm not a fan of the Chinatown location, so I never wanted to go here. ...But my family had other plans so I tried it out. The wine list is very small considering how many options there are for Spanish wines. Places like Estadio in DC have a much more curated and expansive wine list for the money. I asked to try two of the more expensive wine that they have by the glass, and both of them turned out not to be good, and one had a strong petroleum aroma. We just opted for margaritas, for better or worse.

Food took forever to come out, which was kind of surprising since the restaurant was only half full. These are tapas, which by the very nature come out very quickly, but not at this restaurant. The shrimp scampi-type tapas was simple and good, but there weren't any dishes you would write home about. The eggplant slices came with a very salty cheese sauce and the portion generally was just not enough food for the money. For the calamari, I asked if it was breaded, and the waitress said that they weren't, but what arrived were cold, breaded calamari that we ultimately had to send back.

Overall, there was a reason I passed this restaurant a million times and don't go - what little curiosity I had was satiated. Won't be back.

Far and away, our favorite spot for happy hour. The food is tremendous, the sangria selection is diverse, and the import draft selection will make you feel like you're in Madrid.

La Tasca underwent some renovations a few months ago, and the place is beautiful: gorgeous Spanish tile, high tables, and a well-stocked wine selection. What sells the restaurant more than anything, however, is the food and drink. I highly recommend the simple but effective pan con tomate. I could eat about seven orders of this alone!

From the bar, the collection of import drafts and house-made sangrias are some of the best you can find in the DMV. The bartenders are extremely friendly, very adept at their work, and another reason we always come back.

If it's 5 o'clock, and we have the time, you'll find us at la Tasca!
